Where are you located?

Our address is 4949 SW 74th Court; Miami, FL. 33155. We are in the warehouse building of condominium project GATEWAY. Once you are on 74th Court, you will see a sign that reads: "SW 74th court - Gateway Office Tech II".

How much do Diploma Programs Cost?

When can I enroll?

All Diploma Programs have open enrollment. You may enroll at any time after meeting with the Adsmissions Director. Non Diploma Programs are seasonal. Please check our website for dates and times.

Are you a licensed?

Yes. We are proud to hold License #65, making us one of the oldest of all licensed institutions in the whole State, including major universities. We are licensed by the Florida Department of Education - Commission for Independent Education.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is free parking available.

Do you provide tools or can I bring my own?

MJS provides the student with everything. We will provide tools for class use only, metals, solders, equipment and class manuals. Please don't bring your own.

What if I need more hours than the ones stated in your curriculum to complete the course?

The hours we have suggested give the student an average time for completion. If the student doesn't complete the course by the hours stipulated, the student has a month to complete the course. If the month provided is not enough, then an extra monthly fee will be charged until the student graduates.

What is your Schedule like?

The student has 2 slots available to choose from. The first slot is from 10am to 1pm and the second slot is from 2pm to 5pm. Minimum requirement is 3 hours per day for 3 days a week. Please look at our class hour section. No less than 9 hours a week are permitted. Students receiving Veterans Benefits need to attend class 18 hours per week.

What are classes like?

Classes are personalized. You will receive theoretical, practical and demonstrative teaching.

What is the difference between Diploma and Non Diploma courses?

Diploma courses are developed for students that want to be future jewelers. These offer a very high level of competency with practical and written tests. A diploma is awarded upon completion. Our Non Diploma courses are meant strictly for personal and enjoyment purposes. The student will receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the course.

Do graduates find jobs?

Yes. The students have a high placement rate. We have students working for jewelry retailers and manufacturers. Others have opened their own business!

I’m not a U.S. citizen. Do you provide Student Visas?

No. Unfortunately, we don’t offer that service. We do accept foreign students but they must have a valid U.S Visa, Passport and additional photo identification.

The form needs to be completely filled and signed. Please include a photo identification and a $100.00 registration check or money order made payable to Miami Jewelry School. If the Registration fee is not included with the application, the student will not be registered. Registration fee is non refundable.
