III. Stone Setting





Students will learn through both one-on-one instruction and hands-on practice, how to set stones in different types of settings. You will get real world experience by practicing a variety of setting techniques including, prong, flush, channel, and bead among others. Students learn to recognize and evaluate quality craftsmanship and identify and set all mounting styles.

Course Pre-requisite(s):
You must have at least 6 months of fabrication experience
You must have successfully taken the Jewelry Technician course.

SS105 Bezel and tube setting
SS106 Flush (Gypsy) setting
SS107 Channel setting
SS108 Baguette setting
SS109 Tiffany setting
SS110 Pear Shape and Marquis setting
SS111 Pavé and bead setting
SS112 Course review

- All tools, metals, stones, material, investment, equipment, and student handbooks are included.
- Approximate time and clock hours to be spent: 70 hours or 4 weeks of uninterrupted training.
